"One thing that I love about graphic design is that you can use your skill sets to create something new and fresh, and what you create can have lasting impacts on people."
My name is Rachel Jones. I am 22 years old, and graduated from Liberty University in 2019 with a BFA in Graphic Design.
I have always had so many interests and passions in my life. Some of my hobbies include singing, acting, dancing, photography, and studio art. I have always loved doing many different artsy things. I never really knew what I wanted to be when I was older. It was constantly changing. I was introduced to graphic design and multimedia when I was a sophomore in high school. I really enjoyed the projects, and decided to take more advanced classes over at our high school's technical school. I then decided to go to college to get my degree in Graphic Design. It definitely was not easy getting through college. My classes were always intense. They pushed me to do my very best, and to constantly improve on my skills.
From May 2018 through August 2018, I was a graphic design intern at Victory Junction. I assisted the marketing team with various projects and met with in-house clients. Some of the projects I worked on included an information packet, camp map, brochure jacket, rack card, and creating layouts for a fundraiser brochure. It was during this internship that I developed a newfound love for design. I realized that this was something that I would enjoy doing for the rest of my life. I loved helping people solve design problems. I was able to use my design skills to create items that made lasting impacts on people, and made a positive difference.
One thing that I love about graphic design is that you can use your skill sets to create something new and fresh, and what you create can have lasting impacts on people.
I am constantly growing as an artist, and I am continuing to improve my skills today.
