Summer Days

This was a class project in which we were required to pick a graphic designer that our work would be inspired by. We were required to make the CD album cover, spine, back, and the CD design. The designer I decided to pick was Steve Frykholm, who is most known for his picnic posters. Many of Steve Frykholm’s picnic posters used bright colors and the designs were very simplistic. They all had similar themes and gave the feeling of fun. All of the shapes and objects had solid colors. For my project, I wanted to use some of his techniques to create the fruit and translate some of the same patterns into my work. I wanted my work to be simple, but still effective.
